By: Frigidaire
Part Number: 241778315
The Fresh Food Door Gasket is an OEM replacement part for Frigidaire refrigerators. It creates a seal around the refrigerator door to maintain a consistent temperature by keeping cold air in and warm air out. This helps ensure proper refrigerator conditions and prevents energy loss.
Over time, gaskets can degrade due to wear, exposure to extreme temperatures, or cleaning with harsh chemicals. A damaged or worn gasket may fail to seal properly, affecting the freezer's efficiency and potentially leading to increased energy consumption.
Symptoms of a bad gasket include:
- Frost or ice buildup inside the refrigerator
- Difficulty keeping the refrigerator door fully closed
- Warm air entering the refrigerator, causing temperature fluctuations
- Increased energy bills due to inefficient operation
This OEM replacement is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Kenmore models.
NOTE: GASKET NOW GRAY, NOT WHITE

Symptoms of a bad door gasket include:
- Difficulty closing or sealing the door properly
- Higher electric bills from the refrigerator running more often
- Warm air leaking into the refrigerator sections
- Loss of interior temperature regulation
This genuine Whirlpool OEM replacement part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

The magnetic gasket around my freezer was not keeping the door closed Jason F. • Towson , MD • June 27, 2016
The gasket on my freezer door was not holding the door closes. When the main door closed, the pressure which shifts to the freezer was popping the door open and it was not closing because the magnet had lost its' mojo.
I watched the video for the replacement of the gasket on the freezer door and my experience was exactly the same. One area that you should be mindful of: the depth of the fin on the replacement gasket is short, so do not make the slot of this fin too deep.

Symptoms of a bad French door gasket include:
- Warm air entering the refrigerator
- Frost buildup around the doors
- Higher than usual energy bills
- The refrigerator door not sealing properly
This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.

Ge ss refrigerator needed new door gaskets Dan K. • Hudson , WI • March 07, 2015
These gaskets (seals) are friction held in a groove and just pull out by hand. The new ones simply can be pushed back into the groove by using your fingers to go around and work them in. Pull a corner of the old one out and push it back in to see how the fit.
The gaskets need warming and softening with a hair dryer to straighten after arrival for correct shape, better fit, workability, and to regain their shape, but this is a simple job. The only catch, is that the door flap has to be...
