I very seldom respond to requests for feedback like this but definitely feel moved to do so in this case. When our 8 year old dishwasher started acting up my initial reaction was to simply replace it. I wasn't sure what was wrong, nor if I would be able to find the right part once I did figure out the problem. My discharge would not empty after a wash cycle and I always had gross gray water left in the bottom approx 3" deep? After doing the obvious things of checking the simp for garbage, and checking that the discharge hose wasn't blocked, I removed my discharge pump ( not too hard to do) and tested. After discovering your web site and reading of others issues I ordered a door seal (my old one was a little short on the right side) a detergent door grommet, and the 2 water deflectors ( I decided to cover all the bases while I was at it. Two years ago replaced all four roller assemblies of affected side. Problem recently reoccured on the opposite side. Replaced all four roller assemblies on that side. Entire repair took about twenty minutes. Read more

I went to appliancepartspro.com and found out that the problem could be the main circuit board. I went on and ordered the part, knowing it could be returned if necessary, but it was like music to my ears when I installed the part, myself, and turned the power back on. Easy. First unplug or turn off the electrical breaker to the dishwasher. Then I removed the phillips head screws holding the inner door to the outer door panel. I then removed the hex head screws holding the dispenser assembly. The electrical connection needs to be disconnected and then reverse the procedure to install the new dispenser. Found the end of the right-side Door Spring that connects to the Door Cable broke off and the plastic end of the Door Cable that connects to the Door Spring was also broken off. Ordered a replacement Door Spring 154579101 and Door Cable 154578801 from AppliancePartsPros.com When the parts arrived a few days later, I watched the video on the AppliancePartsPros. Dishes were 'gritty' with an almost invisible coating of specks smaller than grains of salt. Prior to ordering parts, I had to determine which part(s) needed replaced and which could benefit from a good cleaning. The part just snaps on the basket. You have to remove the clips on the end of the runner arms to be able to remove the basket. Once it was out the old arm snap off and you snap on the new arm. Only problem was my old arm was fine and I wished the company would just sell the gasket. It seems a waste to have to purchase the whole arm. Ordered front panel and panel control. Also ordered name plate (did not need) front panel already has it. My husband and I had it switched out in approx 10 minutes. Took longer to gather proper tools than it did to do the repair. Looks awesome and original! Read more

Took cover completely off and tried putting back, could not match up left screw with available screw hole. Tried many different configurations and sequences to make this happen. watched a video on changing the front panel, the door in it had four screws, mine 2, no help there. Searched on the hyperextending issue, found an article about dogs and kids [had both here] climbing on the door and to check the springs and linkages.
