I watched the Appliance Parts Pros repair video and decided to remove the front panel to diagnose the problem. While the repair video is excellent, I could not remove the ice/water dispenser front panel with a putty knife. On my model, 106.56234400, there is no clip that can be released by sliding a putty knife up under the front panel. Filters debris from dishwasher sump to protect pump and spray arms. Replace if warped, clogged, or dishes aren't cleaning properly. Verify fit by model.
1. Removed and replaced circulation pump. That didn't end up being the whole problem, although there was debris jammed up in multiple sections of the impeller. Still was satisfied with results. 2. Continued trouble-shooting and discovered a lot of additional debris in the spray arm itself. Score! That resolved all performance issues. 3. First went through the troubleshooting guide on the website and read the various stories and watched the repair videos for replacing the springs and suspension pads.
