This sensor monitors water flow inside the dishwasher to ensure proper water circulation during wash and rinse cycles. It sends signals to the control board to regulate water intake and pump operation. Replace this sensor if the dishwasher displays error codes related to water flow, fails to fill properly, or stops mid-cycle due to incorrect flow detection.

Error 01 (leak detector) on electrolux dishwasher Donald Z. • Ivyland , PA • February 02, 2016
First I installed new door gaskets to correct suspected cause of leak which was real - moisture & soap residue found in bottom pan. Could not clear error code from control panel even when I knew there was no water in bottom pan. Suspected fault in leak sensor just above bottom pan. Ordered new leak sensor & installed. Error code disappeared.

This switch sensor is a direct-replacement sensing device that detects the position/state of a moving component and sends that signal to the appliance control for reliable operation. It restores correct sensing when the original fails. What it does:
- Detects and reports a component's open/closed or engaged/disengaged position to the control
- Helps the appliance start and change cycles only when the mechanism is in the correct position
- Can resolve symptoms such as no response from the control, intermittent operation, or cycles that won't advance
- Provides a direct electrical/mechanical interface between the moving part and the control system
What's included:
Install notes:
- Disconnect power to the appliance before starting any repair
- Match this part number to the failed sensor before installing
- Handle wiring and connectors carefully; avoid forcing tabs or pins
- Test operation after installation and restore power only when all connections are secure

If your dishwasher won't start or suddenly stopped working, a blown thermal fuse is often the cause. This safety part protects against overheating.

Thermal fuse blown on Whirlpool silent partner dishwasher Robert W. • Beloit , WI • August 26, 2018
I ordered a "Thermal Fuse" for a Whirlpool dishwasher. The part didn't fit in the old slot, nor did the tabs fit perfectly in the electrical connections, but it was the best I could find. I suppose the machine is too old to have current repair parts. But, it made the dishwasher work. The fuse is now hanging outside the control panel cover, connected, and working just fine.
