The Dryer Belt Tension Pulley Assembly is an OEM part for Whirlpool dryers. It plays a crucial role in the proper functioning of the dryer by maintaining tension on the drive belt. This tension ensures that the belt remains tight around the drum and motor pulley, allowing for smooth and effective operation of the dryer. The assembly includes a pulley wheel and the hardware necessary for installation.
Symptoms of a bad Dryer Belt Tension Pulley Assembly include:
- A squeaking or screeching noise during dryer operation, which can indicate the pulley is worn or malfunctioning.
- The dryer drum failing to rotate despite the motor running, suggesting the belt may have slipped off due to insufficient tension.
- Excessive wear or damage to the dryer belt, often accelerated by a faulty pulley.
Causes of a bad tension pulley can include wear and tear from regular use, accumulation of lint and debris which can impede the pulley's movement, or a malfunctioning bearing within the pulley itself.
This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

I ordered the items on a Wednesday night. I opted for the two day shipping. I thought the items would be at my house by Friday but they did not arrive until Monday. I...

Our dryer was making such a load noise that we deemed it unusable. We weren't sure if something would burn up if it continued like it was. I then followed the repair video that AppliancePros had posted for my model (which was great) and installed the belt. Still squeaking. So I went on to #2 on the list of possible problems, the...
