The Lint Filter is an OEM part for LG dryers. It is responsible for capturing lint and debris from the laundry, preventing it from clogging the dryer vent and providing easy cleaning. A bad lint filter can be caused by regular use and the accumulation of lint and debris over time. It may also become damaged if not cleaned regularly or if items such as coins or small objects accidentally get caught in the filter. Measures: about 12 in wide by 11 in high
Causes of a lint filter can include normal wear and tear over time, excessive lint buildup or clogging, or physical damage due to improper cleaning or handling.
Symptoms of a bad lint filter include:
- Clothes taking longer than usual to dry.
- Reduced airflow or poor drying efficiency.
- Lint accumulating on the dryer drum or around the door.
This OEM LG part can also be used on Kenmore/Sears appliances.
