The range outer oven door glass is the large exterior pane of glass mounted on the outside face of your oven door. It provides a heat-resistant barrier while allowing you to view inside the oven, and it contributes to the door's insulation. Replace it if the outer glass is cracked, shattered, or chipped, which can be a safety hazard and cause heat to escape.
