Frigidaire Bracket & Flange

It took a long time to determine the problem but eventually I discovered that the plastic bracket (latch hook) that held the three door-switches showed appreciable wear from repeated door openings and closings. This wear stopped the door from sealing properly and the door switch safety mechanism blew the line fuse. I replaced the worn bracket (AP6230612) as well as the plastic latch mechanism (AP4553585) on the door that engages this bracket (and of course the fuse too) and the microwave now... Read more

My 10 year old frig door was hanging down to the point it wasnt fully closing and sealing unless you picked up on it. I ordered a lower hinge bracket, upper and lower bearing, and spacer. • Door stuck closed

Turn off breaker, remove all screws { 4 on mine } inside oven door holding oven and microwave to kitchen cabinet and slide oven assembly out of cabinet {on to a temporary shelf of {4} 5 gallon buckets/plywood/bricks/shims that I made on the floor atop a scrap of carpet} just enough to access the side and rear screws of microwave's protective metal housing, then remove a total of 16 screws { there were 2 screws just inside top of "opened" microwave door that were holding top flat silver metal... Bought combination set Motor & pump/ pump assembly plus new thermostat/ bracket. Exchanging motor and pump took about 15-30 min. Getting the dishwasher out and back took at least 30 min plus each way. Online video helped a great deal Read more

Ordered a new bracket for the heating element because of all the melted plastic on it. Also ordered a new lower washer arm. Both came quickly and the lower arm I can no longer get from the manufacturer. Both installed quickly and worked like there was never anything wrong. Saved me a lot of money and didn’t have to replace the dishwasher. Will order from here anytime I need to replace parts for any of my appliances. Read more

Removed the freezer shelves and back panel, evaporator coils were frozen with ice. Defrosted coil and removed defrost heater connectors, measured no continuity in the heater and ordered a replacement. Also discovered the aluminum retention strap was broken and the heater had slipped down in it's position, ordered and replacement strap. Re-installed new heater and strap per the video instructions, repair complete. Most difficult steps were drilling out the drain pan rivet and re-threading... Read more

Emptied the door, removed the top door hinge plate, removed the door, then removed the damaged lower hinge plate and bushing, and then replaced them with the new parts. Everything went back together just fine, and now the door closes properly, and stays closed! Thanks!! Read more

I took off the back cover of the range. I then took out the bolts which had held the control board in. I placed the control overlay on the new control board, and then plugged it in. I bolted the control board in place and replaced the back cover. For $135 in parts and 15 minutes of labor, I did what the appliance repair company wanted to charge me $500 for. Read more
