General Electric Dishwasher Parts

I made my first order with just the make (GE) and Model (Monogram) What was shipped first appeared to be a generic GE rack set. I read some other folks post and some said they made minor adjustments to these racks and they worked fine. I was not happy with the fit and returned the first set. I ordered a new arm kit from AP Pro. I watched the video..easy repair. The arm spin jets were plugged just like the video said. The old washer was also worn. The new arm (genuine GE) had redesigned spin jets, they added two more. I ordered on a weekend, the order was filled on Monday and it was at my door at noon on Tuesday! At first it seems that the pulley can't be removed to make this repair. However,after removing the screw that holds the pulley in place, if you take a small screwdriver and tap the center of the pulley bracket with a hammer it comes out from behind and will go back in with hand pressure after repair. The replacement of the arm took a total of 3 minutes, all I needed was a nut driver for the easy job, taking the old arm out and putting the new one in, exact replacement , I appreciate you getting the part out as fast as you did. I had clogs before, so I knew this wasn't the case. When I tried the "rinse and hold" setting, the water would fill, but no sound when it tried to drain. I suspected the pump. Searching through YouTube, I found a helpful video for the GE Profile unit. In fact, the video directed me to this site for parts. It seemed simple enough to replace and I verified the part number to order. I pulled out the dishwasher, laid it on it's side, swapped the part, put it back in, and tested. It now works... Read more

Pulled dishwasher from the cabinet and flipped onto its side. Easy access to sump and drain flapper valve that I also replaced. Rubber sump coming apart into soft pills & chunks and plugging spray arms. Better now but it's rediculous that GE would make components that dissolve this way. Read more

I had a repairman in to check why machine had no power. I watched as he opened the door up and secured the electrical ribbon in place and lights on control panel came on. Asked him questions about the noise he confirmed it was the blower. would have charged me around $250.00 to replace that. Spoke to a rep on the phone and ordered the part for $100.00. In the How to fix it your self section of Questions and Answers, your answers for removing the Base Spray Arm is incorrect. It states "just stick a screw driver into the base spray arm from inside the tub and turn", that does not work. Their are 2 tabs that in gauge the base spray arm with the tub. A 4 prong round wrench is required to insert from the bottom into the pump connector and turn the nut that sits inside. Read more

Replaced the racks. Note: The new racks fit fine but they have a different rack configuration which has an improved design for the top rack but my wife dislikes the new bottom rack design. She would have preferred an exact replacement bottom rack. She thinks the engineers that designed the new bottom rack have never loaded a dishwasher with normal dishes. Read more

First off OUTSTANDING experience with AppliancePartsPros.com! Ordered my parts on Tuesday and they arrived Wed morning!!
