The Spray Arm Assembly is an OEM part for GE dishwashers. This component is located at the bottom of the dishwasher and is responsible for distributing water to clean the dishes during the wash cycle. It rotates to ensure that water reaches all areas within the dishwasher, providing thorough cleaning of the dishes.
Causes of a bad spray arm assembly can include clogging due to food particles or debris, wear and tear from regular use, or damage from improper loading of items. Such issues can obstruct water flow or prevent the spray arm from rotating effectively, leading to suboptimal cleaning performance.
Symptoms of a bad spray arm assembly include:
- Dishes not being cleaned properly
- Inconsistent water spray patterns
- Noisy operation during the wash cycle
- The spray arm not rotating or moving smoothly
This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.
