With the help of Wendee and Karen, we finally figured out my model numbers and which parts where correct. I ordered the parts and all arrived the next day except for the Broiler element which arrived in 2 days. I installed the new Baking Element myself. Took longer to figure out which curcuit braker to turn off. In about 30 minutes I had a brand new Baking Element in my oven working perfectly. On the following day, I installed the Broiler Element. My 1984 GE Electric Stove model number was very close to an another entry, but not actually in appliance repair pros' model numbers list. But my burners looked and measured the same for the near entry number, and the surface unit control switch looked very similar. I decided to take a chance and ordered 2 of each.. Ordered new bake element on 01/03/2021 and received on 01/05/2021. Thanks for the expedited service. My husband removed the old bake element and replaced with the new bake element. Took less than 15 minutes to remove and replace. Read more

Cut off power ,inside I remove the two back screws, remove the two front screws with hangers. Pull element out, clip wires so they don't fall back in holes with clothes pins. worked good. But wire connection to the broiler was to large, had to replace connectors, wire fell in hole, had to pull wall oven out and remove back panel. I then mounted the new element to oven. Replaced connectors ,connected connectors, closed back panel, put oven in place ,connected power lines. Turned power on. Works... Read more

I first tried to purchase the part directly from GE but they were not helpful at all. Remembering that I had purchased a transmission and other parts from appliance parts pros for my old Maytag washer before, I searched their easy-to-use parts catalog and there it was!!!! I asked for confirmation from Customer Service and after 2 says Research confirmed that it was the correct part. I ordered a broiler element, watched the video and replaced the element when it arrived. I turned off the electrical breaker to the stove/oven. I then removed the oven door from the hinges and removed the 1/4" square head screws that secured the element in place,( the video showed phillip head screws ), removed the element wires from the old element. Replaced the element wires to the new element and reattached the element to the oven with the hex head screws. I then put the oven door back on... Read more
