Oven slow to heat or not heating at all? This hidden bake element delivers consistent bottom heat for proper baking. Moderate DIY, about 1 hour.
I called GE and they sent a tech out. $89 service call. Had I REALLY inspected the oven the hidden element had blown and separated and part of it welded itself to the inside of it's compartment. GE wanted another $350 to come back and fix it. I bought the part here for around $55 and had it running again in about an hour! Read more
Left side hinge assembly for oven doors. Replaces broken, cracked, or worn hinges that prevent proper door opening and closing. Direct fit component.
I always save original books and assembly sheets for appliances. That helped a lot ! The assembly sheets showed how the ovens went in, how they were attached to the cabinet and what to avoid so I didn’t bend trim piece. Original booklet showed how to replace oven doors and lights etc. Once the hinge assemblies arrived I started replacement after having read on the internet original hinges had some problems. So I had ordered both right and left hinges to avoid a possible problem with the... Read more

Replaced above parts, easy to do, looks like a new stove. Needed to pry open knob stem slot segments very slightly to remove broken plastic from previous knobs. Spreading stem slot metal sides too much and they will break. With slots cleaned out, pinch stem sides almost together for new knobs to slide on. Customer service rep was helpful and parts delivery was next day as promised. Before contacting Appliance Parts Pros, I found their on-line customer reviews were much better than their... Read more

Oven won't heat or takes too long to preheat? A failed lower bake element is the most common cause. Straightforward DIY repair in under 30 minutes.
In the middle of Christmas baking, I noticed that it was taking a really long time to bake bread. Since I had already done 5 batches and the timing was always the same, I knew when I had to add 20 min, something was wrong. My oven thermometer (I bought at target) no longer worked so it was hard to tell the exact temperature. First, I went and bought a new thermometer to see the actual temp, then I set the oven to 350 degrees and checked to see what the thermometer was showing. It was almost 50... Read more
Control knob for selecting cooktop settings and temperatures. Installs on the control panel. Replace if cracked, broken, or worn from regular use.
Second repair after 10 years of service - igniter had cracked and spill overs were causing the others to misfire. This was a two-step process. I took apart the cooktop to see what parts were neded. Screws were all rusted, I had to drill ome out. The burner gaskets broke during the process and needed replacement. One of the burners had deformed due to excess heat. After that initial diagnose, I reassembled the cooktop without the igniters and ordered all the parts I needed. The second stage was... Read more

Oven not heating or baking unevenly? The bake element generates heat for baking. Simple plug-and-play repair takes 30-60 minutes with basic tools.
When the element on our 15 year old builder grade oven went out we were worried it was time to spend thousands on a new oven. Instead, we found the replacement part on appliancepartspros.com and decided to give replacing it a shot, after all it was $80 instead of $1600. We weren't entirely sure the replacement was the right part because our oven model had an extra "0", but given it came up when I searched for the oven model (if not on the compatability checker) and the refund guarantee we... Oven not heating? Replace a broken or burnt-out bake element in minutes. Simple DIY fix—disconnect old element, install new one, restore heat.
The stove was a 40 year old drop in model so we had to turn off the breaker to the oven before getting started. We removed the baking racks then used a small drill bit to remove the old baking element making sure not to allow the wire to slip back into the back of the stove (very important). Installed the new baking element by slipping the wire connector onto the new element. Replaced the screws, restored power, tested the oven and voila it worked. Easy peasy. Read more

Ordered the element control for my dual front right burner and a infinite heat switch for my left front large single burner. Removed cooktop and followed the instructions video given with the parts online. Process was simple and everything on my cooktop is working like it is brand new. The only problem I have is with the online chat, save time by calling in and talking to someone as the people I talked to online (4 of them) are in such a hurry to get to the next call they gave conflicting part... Range clock or timer not working? This control board restores display and cooking time functions. DIY-friendly with video guide. Fits electric and gas ranges.
Removed the front off the back panel, unplugged the old unit. Then using a blow dryer heated the old timer to peel the face /cover off and applied to the new clock. Plugged in the replacement clock. Replaced the front of the range. The only complaint I have is we were not informed that a new face would not be included and the old one would have to be removed and applied to the replacement clock. The face that was on the orginal clock has the buttons to set the clock and timer reversed from... Read more
