Rather than replacing the whole ignition switch harness, I cut out the broken switch and replaced it with Burner Ignition Switch WB24K10017 / AP2632529. Wire stripper, small wire nuts, and electrical tape were also used. At first, the new switch was constantly on when the knob was in the off position. The gas valve shaft has a "U" shape. I went on appliancepartspros.com to order glass. Glass arrived but didn't fit. Turns out GE has different part # system that i (of course) didn't know. Called appliancepartspros.com they informed me how this happened and how they would correct it by sending out the correct glass with another order. They would refund my previous order upon return of the glass. They were very responsive, but this shouldn't have happened! Installation was easy, and the oven is good to go. Read more

It was very easy!. Just removed the screws off the trim plate and access was right there. The double oven was given to me but the handles were missing and the end caps so I just had to replace them. Read more

• Won't start

Turned out the little switches on the knob shaft had corroded and were staying on. There was constant continuity showing with an ohm meter. Replacing the switches was very easy (always disconnect power to the unit before servicing). Bought a new ignitor module as a backup as they do go out of production after 10 years or so- another cheap and easy fix if needed in the future. Read more
