Burner won't shut off or stays on high? The infinite control switch regulates surface burner heat. Easy DIY repair, typically 10-15 minutes to replace.
Replaced the large burner control switches for the ones giving trouble. Since the other two switches had seen as much use as the faulty ones, replaced them too. After putting in new switches, found that one large burner had burned out so replaced it also. Range now cooks as good as new Read more
Prevents leaks by sealing the bottom of your dishwasher door. Replace if water leaks during cycles or rubber shows wear. Verify fit with your model number.
All parts arrived in one box - I purchased the tub gasket, lower door gasket and lower door seal. My existing parts were visibly pretty worn out, dishwasher is 12 years old (maybe should have just bought anew one?). Tub gasket was pretty easy, it took me a while to make sure it was even all the way around, after attest run and the subsequent drying heat it fits nicely. Lower door seal went as video, all good, my other one was destroyed from the heat cycles. Could not get the lower door seal... Read more

Fabric softener not dispensing or agitator loose? This washer dispenser cup sits atop the agitator. Simple DIY fix—twist off and replace in minutes.
Planning to spend hundreds on a new washer and was pleased to discover the agitator coupling was the only thing wrong. Very easy repair. The only additional feature we would have liked was a softener dispenser. Located a GE model of the same genre that used the same coupler and took the leap to get the agitator and dispenser cup for this model (WJRR4170). Replaced the old agitator with new one and dispenser cup. Worked perfectly! We now have a washer with dispenser that works great and saved... Read more

Washer won't advance through cycles or stops mid-wash? This timer control assembly manages fill, agitate, rinse, and spin sequences. 15-30 minute repair.
I replaced the Timer knob components. Removing the cover that contains the Timer was simpler than I anticipated. Just remove the screws on the top of the back of the machine. Hold the cover and lift up and push to the left (facing the front of the washer). Removed the Timer Knob Clip with small needle-nose pliers. Grasped the Timer and turned counterclockwise to remove and unplugged the wiring clip. The timer is seated to the cover and held securely in place with one screw. I seated the new... Read more

Refrigerator not cooling or compressor overheating? The condenser fan motor circulates air through coils to dissipate heat. DIY repair in under 30 minutes.
I googled the issue and read several articles. Most started with cleaning the coils (which mine are on the bottom) (19yr old Kenmore 363.9557812). I had not really ever cleaned them well, vacuuming did little. I had to remove the cardboard cover off the back of the frig, and blew them clean (front to back). Once that was done, I started cleaning from the back and noticed the fan wasn't turning week (condensor fan). Blew it out too, have it a good soon with a pencil, it puffed out a bunch of... Read more

Left side oven door hinge provides smooth opening and closing operation. Replace if cracked, seized, worn, or binding. Mounts to oven cavity interior.
I ordered both hinges (if the nylon roller was bad on the left, it was probably going to go bad on the right side as well). The web site was easy to navigate, order process simple. Hinges arrived quickly. Slide the oven door up and off. unscrew the three screws for the hinge. You need to then pull up with some force (there is a big spring in there), and twist the hinge to get the last bit out. I used a hemostat to hold the spring and keep it from falling back into the hole. removed the... Read more
Replacement spring for dishwasher detergent cup door assembly. Provides tension to keep cup door latched closed. Replace if broken, stretched, or lost.
First replaced the latch, spring, and lever, but no improvement. Then I saw the lever arm on the other half of the door, which by position had to be the way that the timer interacts with the soap dispenser. After turning off the power to the dishwasher, I removed the switch cover (not obvious how -- a video would help: on the left, I slid the narrow rectangular plastic wire cover a little to one side and gently opened it on its little hinge, which is near the left side of the door, and then...
