Ordered the element control for my dual front right burner and a infinite heat switch for my left front large single burner. Removed cooktop and followed the instructions video given with the parts online. Process was simple and everything on my cooktop is working like it is brand new. Replaced interlock switch plunger and spring, which was obviously broken compared to the new one. This solved the problem of my door not latching but the machine would still not turn on. I replaced the Timer knob components. Removing the cover that contains the Timer was simpler than I anticipated. Just remove the screws on the top of the back of the machine. Hold the cover and lift up and push to the left (facing the front of the washer). Removed the Timer Knob Clip with small needle-nose pliers. Had some confusion of what part I needed, needed the one with the motor and thermostat. Fortunately, I've been fixing wiring for many years, I simply cut the new motor out of the harness, and used that nice glue-inside-heat-shrink tubing to seal the soldered 'Western Union' style splices. New light socket and lamps fit fine, worked fine, new motor is fine, problem resolved. I took the old Terminal block out and put the new one back in. it's about 15 minutes job. it was a really simple thing to do. I don't know why it always get the Terminal Block burn in every 3 or 4 months. I have to replace it all the times. I am very disappoint about the Electric Stove. The brand I have, is Hotpoint. I think about changing to Gas Stove instead soon. Read more

My GE dryer from the late 80's/early 90's was squealing when it would start up, belt or bearing I was thinking. I found a manual online that covered my model and I watched a video on this site that showed me how to take it all apart, mine was a bit different but the principles were the same. I took it apart and added some quick-disconnects to 2 wires so next time I can take the front panel off easily.
