I noticed if I caught it early enough the light inside would be on. I googled it and found that it could be the door latch slipping and letting the door open, which would stop the dryer. Seals on the exhaust were one issue that needed fixing since lint was found inside the cabinet. A roller that holds the drum in place had broken off. And, the drive belt was aged and needed to be replaced as a maintenance item. The only issue I had was with shipment. I ordered overnight shipping but got two crucial item two days later. Removed front of dryer panel, removed top, and removed drum. Replaced motor and wheel, because the old wheel was rusted on the motor shaft, and could not be removed, so I had to break it off. Replaced motor, and reassembled. Everything works now. I also replace the switch-Pb, because the start button was getting stuck. Read more

Used multimeter to diagnose no continuity through heating element. Took out element and found underwire from a bra (C-cup I think...) had shorted it and caused a break. Replaced heating element and ... still no heat. Found that one of the fuses had no continuity also. Replaced the fuse and everything working fine. Read more

I replaced the heating element and all of the thermal/high cutoff fuses and thermistors even though only the heating element tested "open" (there was a crack in the element) just to be safe. Also for the "jet airplane" sound the fan housing bearing was bad. I replaced that a well. Now it works like it should and is quiet again!
