Kenmore / Sears Refrigerator Gasket & Seal

This was super easy! I ordered the replacement seals from AppliancePartsPros, they also had a video showing how to do it. Once I received the set I simply removed the old ones by pulling them away from the door. I took the new ones and pressed them into place. The only tool needed, was a screwdriver to remove the door divider from the left door. Note- the seal for the left door is different from the right door so you will want to be sure to compare the new seals to the old seals before... Read more

• Door sweating

Ordered new door seals (gaskets) from Appliance Parts Pros. I was able to replace the freezer door seal without taking the door off the refrigerator. I ordered 2 new gaskets, one for the freezer and another for the refrigerator. These arrived within a few days. I soaked both in the bathtub filled with hot water for about 20 minutes. My grandson installed both gaskets without any trouble. I duck taped on the freezer door to allow it to 'seep' with the cold air inside the freezer unit as I was told this would help make a better seal. I waited 48 hours before removing the tape and opening the door. So far, I'm very happy with my 'new'... Read more

Loosened nuts around outer flange. Pulled out old gasket as shown in video. Prepared new gasket per included instructions. Installed new gasket again using techniques shown in video. Secured nuts then confirmed proper seal. This was not a difficult repair however patience and care is needed to ensure new gasket is properly seated without damage. Read more
