I replaced the water inlet valve. The toughest part was closing off the feed line while I waited for the valve to be delivered. The needle valve used to install the feed line wouldn't close completely. I ended up fabricating a plug from some parts from the hardware store. The mounting bracket on the new valve was completely different from the original, but it still mounted easily enough. I paid to have a repairman diagnose the problem, HOWEVER, after submitting a quote for repair I knew that it was a ripoff to take advantage of us. I looked up the parts online at AppliancePros.com! To my surprise, the detailed drawings showed that I could replace the center rail (about $13) instead of the entire lower shelf (about $100)! I originally ordered the Fan motor from a appliance dealer. I waited for 5 days for it to arrive. In the meantime I scavenge a motor from a junk refrigerator from the dump. 1. After hearing a loud noise on the freezer side of unit about halfway up, I started investigating what it could be? My conclusion was evaporator motor or evaporator fan blade. One of the signs of this issue was a distinct change in sound when I opened the freezer door. I ordered a new motor and blade, not knowing exactly what it was. 2. Ordered the part via the model number. Removed the old gasket (just pulls out of the indentations and cleaned the channel for the gasket. Pushed into the channel and no more frost forming in the freezer. Read more

It was a pretty easy fix not as easy as the 1 nut models they show on YouTube it had 3 tiny ones that my big hands had a bit of trouble with. It said 15 minutes it took me about a half an hour. I called a service company just to see what they would charge. $90.00 to say hello 1 hour minimal labor $110.00 and $120.00 for the part. It cost me $90.00 and 30 minutes of my time.
