This is an evaporator fan motor that circulates cold air throughout the freezer compartment to maintain even temperatures. It is mounted near the evaporator coils and runs whenever the compressor is operating. The ice chute flap wasnt closing. 1. I turned off power 2, Pulled off facia around controls on freezer door,, you have to pull out the bottom part of the chute first , its clipped in 3.
