Fix a slipping or freely spinning top agitator with this upper auger. Restores the ratcheting motion that pulls clothes down. Quick 3-minute repair.
I have a 25 year old Kenmore washer that works well and didn't want to get a new washer as they don't make them like they used to. Upon removing the top cap of the agitator and doing an inspection, the agitator dogs were completely broken into pieces. Due to age we decided to replace the lower and upper agitator along with the agitator auger dogs repair kit. All new parts and works fine. On inspection of old parts, we probably could have gotten away with just a $5 repair for the plastic... Read more

The bolt that holds the agitator and the agitator cam was rusted in place so it made the project way more difficult than it should have been. Had to cut the agitator off the shaft and cut the head of the frozen bolt off. Thankfully, Appliance Pros had all three parts I needed. Once the parts arrived it only took ten minutes to fix. Since the house was going to be full for Christmas, the fast shipping really, really helped. Was able to get it done before the guests arrived. Read more

Weak agitation or clothes not getting clean? This washer agitator restores proper tumbling action. DIY-friendly repair that saves hundreds over replacement.
The splines inside the bottom agitator that are supposed to fit snug with the agitator shaft were worn down and couldn't catch the shaft anymore. I removed the entire agitator then pulled the top agitator part off of the lower agitator part. I then replaced the lower agitator with the new one I purchased and kept the old top agitator part (the top part was still in good condition and didn't need replacing, although I did replace the "agitator dogs" because they're very cheap and figured it... When the drum finally started to list during washings, I knew I couldn't keep screwing the two parts of the agitator together as a temporary fix anymore so I called a technician who promptly and erroneously told me that the entire unit would need to be replaced.
