Turned off the power. Pulled out the stove. Removed back of upper part of stove. Removed old control board. Took photos with phone to make sure I got wires back on correctly. Replaced the cheap plastic lever supporter with another LG OEM cheap plastic lever supporter. I should have bought two as I can see this problem happening again.
Job was a simple fix and only required a Phillips head screwdriver. I did not need to remove any connections as there was enough room and wire to pull out the oven control assembly and make the repair.
One word of caution is to be careful as the sheet metal internal cover and bottom of the control knob panel is razor...
