Burner only worked on high Thom R. • Bowdoin , ME • February 12, 2016
If one control starts to fail the rest are sure to follow soon - so I replaced all four on our JennAir S160. Looked up the parts on line. Due to my background as an aviation electrician in the Navy and then working as an electrical systems designer for a defense contractor the toughest part was the clean up. Oh Well.

When i turned the front burner on of my range i heard a crackling sound behind the control pane Virginia P. • Bloomsburg , PA • February 01, 2015
First I took the back top panel off the stove. The crackling was coming from the control element. I went directly to AppliancePartsPros.com diagram to see what part I needed. Ordered and the part was delivered within 72 hours. The installation was so easy. Pull a couple wire off and reinstall them on the new control. No more crackling. A repair that would have cost me at least $100.00 or more, done by me for +/- $25.00. I love this site, I love the information you offer for...

Broken fan switch on cooktop Michael B. • Cumming , GA • October 21, 2016
I had to take the control board off the bottom of the cooktop and replace the fan switch. The post that fits into the hand switch had broken off. The new switch cost about $35, it was an exact replacement and the whole repair took less than an hour. My wife is very happy because now she can again use the downdraft fan on the cooktop. Thank you AppliancePartsPros.

Genuine Bosch part
By: Bosch
Part Number: 00422748
The Potentiometer is an OEM replacement part for Bosch gas range or cooktops. It functions as a three-terminal resistor that adjusts the flow of electric current, which in turn, controls the ignition and temperature of the cooktop. This component is essential for the precise operation and control of the gas burners, ensuring they light up and maintain the desired flame intensity.
Causes of a malfunctioning Potentiometer can be attributed to wear and tear, electrical issues, or damage due to spills and cleaning products. A compromised potentiometer affects the flow of electric current, leading to issues with the ignition and temperature control of the gas burners.
Symptoms of a bad Potentiometer include:
- The cooktop not lighting or staying lit
- The ignitor continuously clicking without igniting the burner
- Inability to adjust the flame intensity or temperature accurately
This OEM Bosch part is also compatible with Thermador, Gaggenau, and some Kenmore models.

One burner on my thermador cooktop (pcs484ccus) would not light Kinn K. • Haslet , TX • June 08, 2015
After watching a youtube video, I disassembled the front cover on the cooktop (be sure to turn off the power supply). I then switched the potentiometers on two burners. The burner that was not working now worked and the burner that did work did not. Easy to find the culprit....ordered a new potentiometer from here and though I only got regular shipping, it was actually delivered the NEXT DAY! 5 minutes, put in the new part, and all burners work. Great site, thanks for the help!

Dryer heating for only a short time then no heat at all David N. • Fairfax , CA • December 08, 2018
GE Gas Dryer Model DBVH512GF1WW began to heat for only a short amount of time so drying clothes took WAY too long. Read online that the first thing to replace are the solenoids. Bought the two solenoids from AppliancePartsPros.com for about $50 total, and it seems to have fixed the problem. Had to watch a few videos to learn to disassemble the dryer, and the job took a couple of hours, but now that I know what I'm doing it could be done in less than 30 minutes.
Also, the old solenoids tested...

Bad burner switch James C. • Augusta , NJ • January 04, 2015
I first checked a repair video and found the procedure was a 10 minute job. I then went to the website, put in my stove model number and searched for the switch. While I was looking I was offered a chat session with one of their experts. I am glad that I accepted. The switch I was looking at was not the right switch for the job. My expert verified my model number and the switch that need to be replaced. After a couple of minutes, she came back with the right part and placed the order for...

The jennaire stove has a switch with a very poorly designed knob it catches on people's clothes and breaks off Bernard N. • West Linn , OR • December 06, 2016
You have to take the knob off the broken part, then buy the new switch element and fix it. To do this you turn the power off, take out 6 fasteners to release the front panel of the stove and replace the switch element. Then put it all back together. Very simple. But if the knob was designed better it would not have broken in the first place. It looks nice, but this is the third time I have had to fix one.

The burner switches were not controlling the burners correctly specifically the lo temps were too high the switch knobs were also worn Frank C. • Sunset Beach , NC • December 24, 2019
1) I installed 4 ea new Whirlpool 700855K switches. (The old switches had INF-240P-871 stamped on them. 700855K was the cross-referenced P/N.)
The installation was easy. There is slight difference in the terminal arrangement: 1) the old switch has raised terminals whereas the new switch has recessed terminals (for safety), and 2) the terminal markings are slightly different: The old switch has L1/L2/P/H1/H2 (5 terminals). The new switch has L1/L2/P/HC/H1(Also five terminals. I saw where one...
