Ge gas range double oven lower oven would not ignite Susan L. • Rochester , NY • May 18, 2015
Removed bottom flame cover in lower oven to find the ignitor was actually broken into pieces. We assume it exploded because the bottom side of the cover had a hole blown in it and had to be hammered flat. Before it totally stopped working we had experienced a number of instances where the GFI kicked out when the oven was preheating.
Order the GE specific replacement part from Appliance Parts Pros which arrived promptly. The replacement was fairly simple...being careful not to damage the new...

Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: W10211972
The Switch is an OEM part for Whirlpool microwaves. It controls the turning on and off of power to the microwave during cooking cycles as well as detects positions within cycles to signal appropriate actuations of the microwave's magnetron, fans, and lights. The switch is a crucial electrical component that facilitates the fully automatic operation of preset cooking programs.
Causes of a bad switch can include wear and tear over time or unexpected surges that cause electrical component failure.
Symptoms of a bad switch include:
- Cooking programs failing to advance properly or stopping mid-cycle unexpectedly
- The microwave failing to turn on or experiencing power issues
- Random noises, humming, or lights occurring when the microwave is supposed to be idle
- Buttons or controls acting intermittently unresponsive
This OEM Whirlpool part can also be used on Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore/Sears brand appliances.

Microwave needed new door switches Marie W. • Columbus , OH • March 01, 2017
I'm a 56 year old divorced woman. I started doing these kinds of repairs to save some money and honestly, to see if I could. So yes, if I can do it, it's not that tough to do. My microwave is built in above the stove - getting it down and back up was the hardest part of the job. An extra pair of strong hands really helps-for anybody, not just a 56 year old woman. The actual repair was pretty easy. Most likely problem was pretty obvious after a little research. Easy to take off cover, get...

F2 error code Craig P. • Nashville , TN • March 13, 2015
I was able to find the model number on the lower right hand side of the range/oven, a GE True Temp. I Googled it to find parts, and thought I had found the correct sensor, but was very pleased that the ApplianceParts sire suggested I check compatability again before the order. I would have ordered the wrong sensor kit other wise. I DID get the correct one order. It arrived on time.
The tricky part was get the old sensor out without having to pull the oven/range combo out form the wall over...

Oven would not heat and oven light wouldn't work Garett N. • Lubbock , TX • May 06, 2016
Tested the power to the unit by turning on the cooktop portion and saw that I had power to all of the burners. Turned the selector knob to broil and saw that the top element would heat up. I then turned off the breaker to the unit. I then decided to take out the baking element to do a continuity test. When I touched it, a 1.5 inch section fell out. Since that concluded my continuity test, I assumed I needed a baking element. After receiving the parts the NEXT DAY (amazingly great service...

Jennair jjw9630cas double oven doors did not close all the way and the light would not go out Wayne W. • East Longmeadow , MA • February 13, 2016
I have a Jennair jjw9630cas double wall oven, and after a few years I noticed that the light would not go out, first in the bottom oven, and then in the top oven. After doing some research I discovered this was not uncommon, and the fix usually involved replacing the hinges and/or the hinge receptacles. It didn't look like a difficult fix so I ordered four new hinges and four new receptacles, which arrived quickly. I found a video on YouTube that showed how to replace the hinges and it...

Switch shaft that knob attaches to was broken Brian T. • Milpitas , CA • September 02, 2016
Switches needed to be replaced. Make note of where each screw comes from. They were not all the same. To remove the front panel and get to the switches, you have to partially remove the cook top. Removed 5 screws from the back to release the cooktop. Slid the cooktop back far enough to expose screws holding on the front panel. Removed 4 screws from the top and 6-8 from the bottom (opened the oven door to get to the bottom screws). Removed screws from the front panel holding the switch in...

My toddler broke the inner glass of my oven Said B. • Austin , TX • August 03, 2015
All I had to do is take off 4 screws from the top panel that holds the glass. 2 of the 4 are at the inner front of panel of the door and remaining 2 are on either side. Once that panel is removed you place the small 4 brackets on each hole then pop the glass in then put the black panel in then screw back all 4 screws and you start cooking Tango chicken.
