So, you would think that Bosch would make the door handle a TAD more accessible for a quick replacement and repair. You have to first remove the plastic lining on the back of the door, then the black metal surround that holds the inner glass to be able to get to the two screws that hold the door handle supports. It takes some patience as most of these two peices and "snap" in and you just have to carefully see how the two components are held in to remove them without breaking them.

While trying to fix the problem I broke the knob. Appliance Parts Pros.com had the part delivered in 2 days! After looking at the video I decided there was a poor ground at burner #1. Removal of burner confirmed my suspicion. Years of use “spills” has insulated the burner from a good ground, thus preventing a good spark. Removal of black residue cleared the problem. I am now in the process of cleaning the remaining 4 burners just to be sure.

My 18+ year old Jennair cooktop, PN CCG2520W was in need of a rebuild b/c of a welded venturi tube on the right front [RF] burner. In order to remove the glass top cover, you MUST remove the venturi tube. To do this you have to DRILL-OUT the venturi tube which requires a new venturi and orifice holder. I knew for sure that the hinge with the large spring was damaged, but elected to replace both hinges and receivers. Replacing the parts was fairly easy and would have taken me less then an hour. This model has thin metal covers over the hinge assemblies. I found that squeezing in the sides of the covers help to hold them in place on the hinge while reassembling the door.
My only difficulty was putting the door back on the oven. It took a little maneuvering but I managed to get it. Now the door...
