The Monitor Switch is an OEM replacement part for GE microwave ovens. Located internally on the turntable control circuit board, this switch monitors rotation of the turntable during cooking cycles.

Symptoms of a faulty monitor switch include:
- The turntable no longer rotates or spinning intermittently

- Screeching or grinding noises emanating from beneath cavity
- Visible burnt spots on turntable drive assembly
This genuine GE switch is also compatible with select Hotpoint and RCA models.

Ge microwave ran when turned off if door was shut Jason A. • Cary , NC • April 02, 2017
The first symptom was our microwave would continue to run after the time was up. The light would go out, the turn table would stop but you could still hear the microwave running and whatever was in it would continue to cook. The only way to stop it was to open the door. It was intermittent at first but eventually it would always run no matter what as long as the door was closed. Several other posts referenced these switches as the problem. I just replaced both and problem gone. It turns out...

High temperature thermostat went bad after running self clean function John V. • Longmont , CO • September 09, 2014
Did some Google searches and most comments concerning this issue on LG stoves indicated the high temperature thermostat malfunctions when using the self cleaning function. This malfunction causes complete loss of power for the entire stove and locks the oven door. Since I wasn't completely sure if it was the thermostat or where it was for that matter, I called a service tech to troubleshoot the stove. He was able to determine it was the thermostat and further tested his findings by...

Oven did not keep correct or consistently correct temperature Keith J. • Antioch , IL • September 06, 2014
Online videos made this seem an easy fix. I unplugged the oven and removed the rear panel, then found where the temp sensor entered the oven. I unplugged the sensor's electric connector. Unlike the videos, this sensor screwed in from the inside of the oven, so I had to remove the 2 screws inside the oven which hold the sensor in place. Then I pulled the sensor out, careful not to tear the insulation with the wires and connector. Then I just pushed the new connector through the same hole and...

I first checked the power , we had 220 volt at plug, I removed the back of the stove, checked things out , I found that the stove top burners still worked and the oven light worked. The Fan Blower is an OEM part for GE ranges and wall ovens. This part helps to circulate air within the oven cavity. The fan blower ensures that heat is evenly distributed during cooking, contributing to consistent cooking results, and prevents the electronic components from overheating, which could lead to malfunctions or reduced lifespan of the appliance.
Causes of damage to the Fan Blower can include accumulation of debris and grease, which can obstruct the fan and strain the motor, and mechanical wear over time that affects the fan's efficiency.
Symptoms of a bad Fan Blower in a range include:
- The oven not cooking evenly
- Overheating of the range's electronic control panel
- Unusual noises, such as rattling or buzzing
This OEM GE part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.

The Fuse is an OEM part for GE microwaves. It serves as a safety device designed to protect the microwave from excessive current that can cause overheating and potential fire hazards. When the current flowing through the microwave circuit exceeds a certain level, the fuse blows or breaks, cutting off the power to prevent damage or fire.
Common causes for a fuse to blow include power surges, faulty wiring within the appliance, or the use of microwave inappropriate containers that cause sparks. It is essential to address these issues not only to replace the fuse but also to correct the underlying problems to prevent future failures.
Symptoms of a bad fuse include:
- The microwave suddenly stops working.
- No signs of power or response even when the microwave door is closed and the start button is pressed.
This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.

The GE Advantium Oven completely shut down. No lights, no sign of life at all. Denny E. • Waynesboro , VA • March 14, 2014
I read on line about other such ovens doing the same thing mine was doing, absolutely nothing!
I even read stories of a major retailer telling customers to throw the microwave away. There's nothing you can do to fix it. After replacing a simple fuse that I ordered from you, the Advantium is as good as new. It took a grand total of 5 minutes to make the repair. The shipping cost more than the part, but it was all very worthwhile.

Oven door will not shut completely Mitch S. • Mount Laurel , NJ • January 21, 2019
I knew for sure that the hinge with the large spring was damaged, but elected to replace both hinges and receivers. Replacing the parts was fairly easy and would have taken me less then an hour. This model has thin metal covers over the hinge assemblies. I found that squeezing in the sides of the covers help to hold them in place on the hinge while reassembling the door.
My only difficulty was putting the door back on the oven. It took a little maneuvering but I managed to get it. Now the door...

Oven control and clock did not operate Edward G. • Cabot , AR • December 15, 2019
Replaced the oven controller. This needed the only removal of six hex screws securing the back guard rear shield, two-wire plugs on the control unit, and four Phillips screws. All are easily accessible. The only difficulty came from an apparent model design change that separated the control unit and the overlay - the labels for the control buttons (items 20 and 20a in the backyard parts diagram). Mine is a single unit (the overlay could not be removed without damage) led to the assumption that...
