I called Appliancepartspros.com they suggested first to replace the membrane first. I removed the old one and connected the new one temporary. Tested every button, then after everything worked I stuck the membrane to the stove. The only problem I had was trying to remove the ribbon cables from the circuit board. They are in very tight. Replaces your range's control panel assembly with touchpad buttons and display window. Needed when buttons are unresponsive, cracked, or worn from use.
Originally, I was told by Appliance Parts technician that the control board needed replacing. I ordered a new board and replaced it. No change. Called another AP technician and he said it is the panel control board which is the keypad that needed replacing and promptly provided me a return authorization number to return the control board. I replaced the panel control board (key pad) and all is working once again. I probably saved $600 by doing it myself. Read more

My 15 year old son and I examined the new parts and made a plan for how we were going to take the front off of the oven. Turns out it was fairly simple. We removed the knobs, the knob shrouds, two philip screws on the side of the head and about 6, 6mm hex sheet screws. Voila! It came apart. We carefully looked at how the old parts were assembled and simply reversed the assembly with the new parts. Since one of our parts was the entire front head, it went together quickly and it was a perfect... Read more

We updated a 'not so old' Biscuit GE Range to BLACK. It was easy to figure out what parts I needed by using the selection process on the web-site, I ordered parts then followed the pictures and videos provided to change out the handle, panel, drawer and knobs, I used two metal look back splash panels on the door to give it a rustic look and am very happy with the result. The range looks great in my newly remodeled kitchen Read more
This is a range control panel insert. This part fits over the top of the control panel and marks the burner control settings. Over time, the control setting markers on this part could wear off so that they can no longer be seen. If this is the case, the control panel insert can be replaced so that the correct settings can be used. If this part becomes discolored or otherwise worn in any way, the appliance owner may wish to replace it for cosmetic reasons. Unplug the oven unit from its power source prior to attempting to replace this part. The person performing the replacement may wish to wear gloves to protect the hands during this process. This part is compatible with electric ranges that are manufactured by the GE brand. It is a genuine OEM part that is sourced directly from the manufacturer. It is sold individually.
Replacement control panel touch pad for your range. Restores unresponsive buttons when keys stop registering, worn surface causes input failures, or panel is cracked.
After doing much research online, I found out that the Touchpad on the JennAir downdraft gas range JGS9900BDS is very prone to "breaking." All my neighbors who has this model has reported that the touchpad stopped responding after a few years. Replacing was fairly simple. 1. Turn off the electricity to the range at the breaker 2. Pull the range out by an inch or two 3. On each side of the control panel, remove the screws. 4. Open the oven door and remove the 4 hex screws under the control... Read more
Stainless steel touch pad control panel for your range. Replace when the original panel is cracked, dented, buttons are unresponsive, or keys stop working.
After doing some research online, I saw that to have an appliance repair person come out to fix the touchpad, would cost us well over $500. Some people said they would charge $500 for the part alone. I did a search for the part using our model number and read the reviews on this site and thought we'd give it a try. It was a very easy repair--anyone could do it. You basically remove four side screws and then the screws behind the knobs. Once you pull the front away, there are 4 screws holding... Read more
