• Exhaust fan not working

Replacing this filter was very easy: two screws hold in the grill cover at the top of the microwave, and then the filter just slides in and out of its holder. There was quite a bit of grease in the area, probably pulled there by the vent from the stove top. I cleaned the grease up and also hand-washed the wire-mesh filter on the bottom of the microwave with soap and warm water. Airflow when running the vent is now noticeably better. Read more

I had replaced the Agitator cams a couple of times already due to my brother-in-law overloading the machine which stripped the teeth off of the cams. I also noticed the agitator seemed to 'wobble' and made 'knocking' noises quite a bit. Originally the dryer was squeaking a lot, so I purchased a new belt tensioner, but the original tensioner was an old-style no wheel tensioner, so that wasn't the source of the squeaking. I saw a lot of lint had built up inside the unit where there shouldn't have been that much. The part is so new no video so I went onto a similar part and watched video that got me about 80%. Then, called and customer service sent me a service Manual but this still was not specific so I broke the old to get it out and in the process figured out how to do it correctly. We had been quoted $100 for the first hour which included repair if it could be done under the first hour plus parts. First Problem - WATER INLET VALVE - After having problems with ice maker not making ice, I troubleshot and replaced the water inlet valve. Video and instructions were excellent. With 16 year old fridge, the water lines had compression fittings in the old valve, so had to cut the fittings off with a razor blade to allow the lines to insert into the new valve press-in type fittings. Use the videos on this website here and you can repair most brands. Many are duplicate in design. 1. Unplug the machine. 2. Move it away from a confined area to get more room. 3. Remove lint filter and the two screws that hold the exhaust filter port to the top of the cabinet. 4. Use a putty knife or actually a butter knife and release the top of the cabinet from the main drum housing. You will slide the knife between the top and the main cabinet at the plastic catches. Our 19 year old Whirlpool dryer quit heating. After checking the thermal fuse, I found the ignitor electrically open.
