The Dryer Front Bearing Drum Slide (White, 2-Pack) is an OEM replacement part for GE dryers. These slides are located on the front panel of the dryer and work to support the drum as it rotates. The white slides are designed to reduce friction between the drum and the panel, ensuring smooth operation and helping to prolong the life of the appliance.
Over time, these slides can wear out due to constant movement, heat, and friction. When worn or damaged, the drum may not rotate as intended, leading to noise and reduced efficiency.
This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.
We cleaned out all ducts carefully and did other basic troubleshooting but it did not help. Began to research the problem on-line and discovered that this dryer has two heating elements. One can fail while the other continues to provide heat - but with a large impact on drying time. Watched youtube videos and how to take apart the dryer to reach the heating coils. Tested the heating elements for continuity with tester and the outer loop had no continuity indicating it was broken somewhere. ... Read more
