Oven is a slide in. I pulled it out just a Few inches and removed 8 screws and Pulled the face down to expose the unit. The control unit had 4 screws and 4 Plugins. It only took me less than 10 Minutes to replace unit and slide back In place. Read more

So initial thought was bad bake igniter. I'bve replaced this before so I replaced it again and it wouldn't glow. Checked broil igniter and same thing, no glow. Checked voltage at molex connector for bake igniter and it went from 6.6v to 3.4v when triggered to glow -- well below the 120v expected. Ordered new clock/controller and overlay -- it shipped the next business day! Removed a handful of screws from the back panel to expose the clock/controller and removed/ replaced it with new... Andrew helped me trouble shoot the problem. First I replaced the elments but that did not fix the problem. When I spoke with Andrew he told me how to test the OHMS on the new and old element and they were both readying 26 OHMS. I then replaced the control panel for the clock and oven controls. I first called a GE service tech in to diagnose the problem. He said very quickly that the oven circuit board had a fault in it. He said it would cost $ 563. to replace.
