Simple replacement of the heating element. Found multiple videos on youtube that show how to to do this repair. The cooktop is easily opened by removing 3 screws, but I recommend having a second set of hands when performing the repair because you will have to hold up the glass stove top and unscrew the components. Whirlpool convection oven. Access to convection element from inside. Three screws to remove plate covering fan blade. Then one screw to remove element bracket. I placed tape over the holes with the wires so they wouldn’t pull back into the panel. Remove old element at tabs and replace. Very easy fix. Removing door to oven made it easier to get to but not necessary.
