Whirlpool Dishwasher Dishrack

Looked at Dishwasher. Scratched head and armpit. Told wife I would fix, not repariman. Wife skeptical - shook head. Found schematic on web. Found YouTube video of guy repairing same DW model. Disassembled. Diagnosed problem. Chopper assembly welded in place by water scale -broke removing. Potty mouth. Ordered parts. Waited for parts. Washed dishes by hand. Wife doing ok. I ordered a new lower wash rack retainer and installed it myself. Takes about 30 seconds to install. Very easy and no tools required. Ordered new top rack and changed out the rusty one. Taking the washer arm off the old one and putting it on the new one was a bit challenging but my husband is good with those things and it went well. Beware that NO instructions come with the rack and there is a bagful of parts that are probably if you want to change rollers or something. Read more

Used the vinyl touch up paint on the tops of posts and slid vinyl tips over 130 posts. The paint acts as an adhesive to keep the tips secure. Read more

My order came the next day :) All parts were in stock and came clearly labeled and orderly packaged. Within 10 minutes my dishwasher was back in business and I was one happy camper. Removed rack from tracks, took cover off each housing carefully. Removed housing. Line up new housing, lineup retaining cover and snap each corner in place. Read more
