This replacement OEM part is a sump and motor assembly for dishwashers. The sump and motor assembly distributes water to the spray arm of the dishwasher. Luckily, replacing this part is a simple process. To begin, turn off the power supply and shut off the water supply valve. Remove the screws that secure the lower access panel. Disconnect the water supply line from the inlet valve. Then proceed to remove the mounting screws from the junction box cover. Take note of the wires' orientation. Remove the screws that hold the bracket. Disconnect the drain hose from the sink or garbage disposal. Open the dishwasher door and remove the mounting screws. Pull the dishwasher away from the cabinet and unsnap the covers from the hinge ropes. Disconnect the ropes. Remove the screws securing the upper door panel. Carefully tilt the dishwasher back and detach the fill hose from its retaining clip disconnecting the hose from the sump. Uninstall the sump and motor assembly and align the pump with the seal and sump. This genuine replacement part is sold individually and is compatible with Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Sears/Kenmore brand dishwashers.

Circulation pump would only work intermittently; no error codes. Christopher D. • Endwell , NY • April 21, 2020
Bought a new sump/motor assembly to make it an easy swap out instead of buying just the motor. Assembly also came with a new diverter motor so I won't have to worry about having to go back in there if that failed. I also purchased new turbidity sensor and drain pump (which I found out had a small leak in addition to starting to fail) since I was already in there. The machine works like it's brand new now.
