It is an easy job if you are good with screw driver and some general sense of things. Ordered the part and installed myself. Received payout from home warranty of $750 since they could not source the part quickly. Repair was very straightforward and easy. 10 screws around the cooktop for easy removal, longest part was vacuuming out the old glass. Once you are resigned to disconnecting the exhaust fan system under the range so you can remove the range from the surrounding counter, the rest is easy. once out, its 8 screws to remove the top and 8 screws to remove the heating elements, and 2 simple wire conneop back onto the stovectors. Turn off elec. Disconnect undercounter vent pipe . Raise range top a few inches and support from below . Remove screws under edge of top using screw holes in new top as guide [not all screws need to come out] .Remove two screws from center of lip of downdraft opening . Lift off old top .
