Fix ice/water dispenser not working or SY CE error code. This dispenser control board restores ice and water selection. Moderate DIY repair, 1-2 hours.
We have a Frigidaire LGHS2667KE0. I’m not an appliance technician. Our refrigerator was not working. We were getting an error code SY CE on the front control panel. I tried unplugging it for about an hour and plug it back in. The refrigerator would cut off and on for about 30 seconds, shut down and beep leaving me with the same code. I called an appliance repair technician who pulled the main board from the front bottom of the refrigerator. He believed it was a relay and or the... Read more
Refrigerator not dispensing ice or making grinding noises? This ice container assembly stores ice and includes the auger mechanism. Easy DIY repair.
The drive blade has come off of the drum and the auger. When I try to dispense ice and the auger rotates, the drive blade does not rotate with it. Hence, the drive blade was not pushing ice into the drum (and into the ice crusher housing and dispense chute). Apparently, the hole of the drive blade was no longer "biting" the auger so that it will rotate with it. I did not know how to re-attach the drive blade back to the auger (short of welding it). So I ordered the Ice Container Assy. Took out... Read more
This is a radiant defrost heater assembly rated at 500 watts and 115 volts, used in the freezer section to melt frost buildup on the evaporator coils during the automatic defrost cycle. Replace this part if your refrigerator is not cooling properly, the freezer is accumulating excessive frost, or the defrost cycle is not functioning correctly.
My freezer units back inside panel were icing up and on the refrigerator side it wasn't cooling down to the normal setting. The unit was constantly running and I knew it was one or more of three things. Defrost timer, defrost heater, or defrost thermostat. The timer was good so I ordered a new thermostat and heater from AppliancePartsPros.com. After pulling the rear panel and allowing the ice buildup to drain off, I replaced the heater and thermostat. My issue was a bad defrost heater but a ... Read more

Secures the water filter and connects it to the supply line. Replace if your filter leaks, pops out, or won't stay seated. Verify fit with your model number.
Turned off water behind the fridge. Unscrewed housing that covered water lines behind the filter base with a 1/4" socket. Pulled out the water hoses by pulling forward on the blue ring holding the hose while pulling the hose backward. Unscrewed the two screws below the filter base. Used the 1/4" socket to remove four additional 1/4" nuts holding the front housing until it partially dropped. I kept the housing propped on a jar. Unscrewed two additional screws holding the filter release rod in... Read more
Fix a compressor that buzzes but won't start or runs only a few seconds then shuts off. This start relay initiates compressor operation. DIY repair.

I also bought a capacitor just in case if that was the problem. Boom, problem solved refrigerator ice cold as it should be. A happy man fixes... Read more

Replaced water reservoir that had become contaminated with ??? Also had to replace the water filter, because the water contaminated it also. Cost was about $150, for two filters and the reservoir. The first filter was replaced because I did not know the reservoir was contaminated, and no water was coming out of the dispenser. Since the water in the ice maker did not come through the reservoir, there was no smell or contamination there. The new filter enabled water to come through the dispenser,... Read more
