Confirmed parts needed through online chat with tech and followed video instructions for dryer conversion. Found a video online for range conversion. Replaced orifices for stove top and adjusted oven burner orifices and air shutters and inverted pin in pressure regulator to natural gas position. All went well with no problems, about an hour and a half to gather tools and complete both jobs. Probably could be done faster but I was taking my time. Read more

Used video and took apart dru, this was extremely helpful. I bypassed the belt and door switch. Tested gas valves (gas disconnected) with multimeter. Found that the igniter worked the first gas valve, but the second gas valve would not open and the igniter would stay on. Found a flow chart online that shows the flame detect turns on causing the gas to turn on and shuts off the igniter. I replaced it and tested again. I had to remove my dryer so I could install a new floor. The dryer would not fit through the doorway with the power cord attached. Since the power cord was fastened to the back using 3 phillip headed screws, I gently backed them out with a phillip headed screwdriver. However, two of the 3 screws gave me extreme trouble. After unplugging the dryer, I removed knobs and control panel. I removed the 3 connectors to start switch. I had to cut and replace one connector due to shorted wire which burnt the connector. I attached new connector and then attached these to start switch. I then remounted all three switches to new control panel and reattached control panel to dryer. Plugged in and started right up! I looked on Appliance Parts Pros. com and read the problems that others had and replacing the ignitor made sense so I ordered one. It came by UPS within 3 days. I watched the video on how to replace it. Everything went easily, except the screw that held the ignitor in place was a philups head screwdriver and I couldn't get a screwdriver into the small space I had to work in so I went to Harbor Freight Tools and bought an inexpensive 90 degree rachet screwdriver for $2.99 and it worked great.... I replaced the dryer motor. I followed the repair video on the Appliance Parts Pro site, with a few modifications to the procedure. I loosened the control panel and flipped it forward to improve access to the wiring connectors. I also loosened the front panel and tipped it forward before disconnecting the door switch as there wasn't enough space to disconnect the switch otherwise. This part was the perfect fix for my broken door hinge on my LG front loading dryer. I watched a video on YouTube of a hinge replacement of a similar front loading Samsung dryer. I needed a little help from my son holding the door glass and plastic in place while re-attaching the door to the hinge, but it was an easy repair. Read more

Realizing that there could be multiple reasons for a gas dryer failing to heat, I decided to test everything I could.
