Maytag Gas Dryer Model: MGDE300VW1 I had previous experience with repairing my dryers, but this was a first for this model. Instructional videos very helpful. Ordered necessary parts and they were delivered with-in two days. Wow! Squeak found to be coming from idler pulley roller which no longer turned freely . The four other cabinet rollers had signs of wear. Dryer belt had frayed edges and a couple of burn spots in the belt from the motor turning before the drum did. Cleaned up all shafts... Read more
The Dryer Bearing Slide (2-Pack) is an OEM replacement part for GE dryers. These slides are installed on the front panel of the dryer and support the drum as it rotates. They help reduce friction and wear, ensuring smooth and quiet operation during drying cycles. This pack includes two bearing slides, which are commonly used together in the dryer assembly.
Over time, bearing slides can wear down due to regular use, heat, and friction. When they become worn or damaged, the drum may no longer rotate smoothly, which can affect the dryer's performance and increase noise levels.
This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.
A thumping sound (like sneakers in the dryer) started happening. We stopped using it so that it wouldn't get worse and potentially break more parts. Online research suggested rear drive shaft would be the problem. But also suggested while we have the dryer apart, would be smart to replace the belt and the slides/glides (green and white plastic tabs in front, attached to the door). We ordered all the parts from AppliancePartsPros.com and they arrived FAST. It helps to have two people for this... Read more
Dryer not heating? This thermal cut-off kit prevents overheating by shutting off heat when temps get too high. DIY-friendly repair under $60.
Since the dryer was 24 years old I opted to replace all the possible problem components, instead of just the bad one. The parts aren't that expensive and do to their age I figured it was worth it to avoid having to go back into the dryer in a few months. The repair was surprisingly easy and went pretty much as the video instruction AppliancePartPros provided with one exception. Because, my model was much older than that used in the video, I had a more difficult time replacing the Heating... Read more

Replace your dryer lint filter screen to trap lint and debris for safe, efficient drying. Fits Whirlpool electric dryers. Confirm fit with your model number.
My fiance was involved in a very nasty divorce where a very biased female judge forced him from his home for 14 months before he could take up residency again. He brought me back with him and I witnessed the grotesque damages she intentionally inflicted on his property. His washer and dryer are very expensive and high-end, as is the home and all his contents. One of the many damages she caused was that she had not cleaned the dryer lint filter in 14 months and the lint was a thick carpet which... Read more

Our 19 year old Whirlpool dryer quit heating. After checking the thermal fuse, I found the ignitor electrically open. I bought an ignitor at a local store as there was a national holiday the next day and I did not want the dryer inoperative waiting several days for shipping. I can say AppliancePartsPros is MUCH cheaper for the identical Whirlpool genuine part. While changing the ignitor, I noticed there was an excessive amount of lint in the dryer, which was caused by worn drum seals. I ordered... Read more
Dryer won't heat or start? A blown thermal fuse is the most common cause. This safety part cuts power when overheating occurs. DIY repair in 30-45 minutes.
I replaced the "heating element" which was bad.........as well as the "Thermst-fix" and "Thermal Cutoff" which are located on the side of the element mounting location while I had the dyer all opened up and the element mounting tube removed.......I also replaced the Dryer Thermister which is located on the top of the blower fan.....To get to these parts, you must open the top of the dryer which has spring latches on both sides of the front corners... they need to be pressed in (use a putty... Secures the lint filter in proper position to prevent clothes snagging. Replace if cracked, warped, or filter sits unevenly. Confirm fit with your model.
The original issue with the dryer is that a corner of the lint screen was sticking out of the lint screen guide, and it would not stay flush with the guide. As a result, many tank top straps, waistband strings, and blankets would get caught on this corner and twist, tear, or warp my clothes. When I did my research on the issue, I kept reading that it was an issue with the lint screen that came with the dryer. So I ordered the lint screen, guide, and cover that appliance part pros recommends to... Read more
This roller supports and stabilizes the dryer drum as it rotates. Replace if worn, cracked, or causing noise during operation. Installs behind the drum.
I pulled the dryer away from the wall and unplugged it. Then I used a 5/16 nut driver and removed the 2 screws in the bottom front panel and pulled it off. Next I removed the 2 5/16 screws holding the front door panel and pulled it down far enough to disconnect the wires for the light and the wires on the door switch. Then , using a putty knife I popped the springs holding the top and control panel then pulling the top up and resting it against the wall. Now I started my repair by laying on... Read more
Washer won't spin or drain? A faulty lid switch prevents the cycle from starting. This repair takes 15-30 minutes with basic tools and a video guide.
My son was doing his laundry, only to announce that the washer wouldn't rinse, spin or drain. I looked on line at new washers and was staggered to see how much they cost, our Whirlpool is 20 years old! Then I looked on Craig's list to see about getting a used washer, but when I found something that looked good, and looked up how it performed, most of them had terrible reviews. So, I looked at a video that told about the 5 most common things to go wrong and figured out it was a broken lid... Read more
Replacement dryer lint filter guide cover. Installs over the lint screen housing to prevent small items from entering the duct. Replaces cracked covers.
I have order three parts, guide filter, cover guide, and sensor assembly. My previous cover guide was from two parts, when sensor assembly was one of them. New part ( guide cover ) was all in one piece so I just transfer old metal part of sensor to new cover guide and I don't need that sensor assembly anymore. I have ordered all three parts overnight by Fedex, ordered 15 min before 5pm, so next day it was here. Dryer is fixed, I'm happy. Read more
