Just screwed on the new handle. The new handle did not come with threaded holes, but this was OK because the screws that came with the stove were self tapping. This takes a bit more effort and the proper screwdriver, but creates the threads in the handle as you turn the screw. Kudos to A-P Pros for the quick processing and delivery of the order. Read more

Replaced the door trim by removing the 2 screws holding the oven handle on, then removing the 4 screws across the bottom of the door. lifted off the door trim with the plastic door cap. removed the door trim from the cap by sliding it out. attached the new door trim with the 4 screws that had been removed before. then slid the new glass into place. next i slid the plastic door cap onto the new door trim and the glass and centered the glass evenly over the door trim. finally reattached the... I diagnosed this problem via the web and the advice was spot on. The problem was a failure of the bottom door switch. I used a multimeter to verify that the switched never closed properly. It took me a minute to figure out how to remove the old switch (press a release tab under the switch while simultaneously rotating counter-clockwise). That was about the most difficult part of the repair. Read more

So initial thought was bad bake igniter. I'bve replaced this before so I replaced it again and it wouldn't glow. Checked broil igniter and same thing, no glow. Checked voltage at molex connector for bake igniter and it went from 6.6v to 3.4v when triggered to glow -- well below the 120v expected. Ordered new clock/controller and overlay -- it shipped the next business day! Removed a handful of screws from the back panel to expose the clock/controller and removed/ replaced it with new... I replaced both the large single element and the large dual element control switches. It appears the resistors were burning out. Problem seems to be fixed. Will know later when I do some simmering. Read more
