Frigidaire Range Parts

My husband and myself didn't agree on which part was the exact problem. He felt it was the valve. I felt it was the ignitor/ orifice. And we both agreed the Harness-Ignitor needed to be replaced. So we ordered all 3, and I'm not sure if in fact all three were needed or not, but now with those parts replaced, the range is working like brand new!! So initial thought was bad bake igniter. I'bve replaced this before so I replaced it again and it wouldn't glow. Checked broil igniter and same thing, no glow. Checked voltage at molex connector for bake igniter and it went from 6.6v to 3.4v when triggered to glow -- well below the 120v expected. It's was easy to replace. Unplugged the oven from the wall, unscrew the two screws that hold the element to the back of the oven and pulled it away from the oven. Then just pull off the two wires at the end of the bake element. Install the new one in the revers order, easy. Read more

We ordered a new ignitor and it came in two days just as promised. The only problem that we experienced was that the leads on the new ignitor were to short. We were able to find enough slack on the oven end to make it work. The oven is once again working great. The video was a little off on what need to be done to disconnect the ignitor. We actually had to flip the oven over to get to the bottom. We could not access the connector through the back. Read more

Replaced the door trim by removing the 2 screws holding the oven handle on, then removing the 4 screws across the bottom of the door. lifted off the door trim with the plastic door cap. removed the door trim from the cap by sliding it out. attached the new door trim with the 4 screws that had been removed before. then slid the new glass into place. next i slid the plastic door cap onto the new door trim and the glass and centered the glass evenly over the door trim. finally reattached the... It is an easy job if you are good with screw driver and some general sense of things. Unplug the oven and than I opened the oven door and unscrewed two screws from bottom lift the glass door up and unscrewed the element coils total 4 screws there in total and pull the whole glass top out, removed the bracket from old glass top another 2 screws and 2 small brackets(snap on) from behind the glass top and put them on new one. slide the new glass top with back brackets into slot lift it up again to...
