Looked for obvious signs of mal-function, burned wires, etc. I found that the compressor controller(attached to the compressor) had an obvious burned-out spot. Took a chance that was the problem (it was); ordered all new OEM parts, including a new timer and run capacitor (a part that kicks in every time the compressor starts). Since no known error code was on the display I figured it must be the control board. After getting through a fiasco with another website, I ordered the part from AppliancePartsPros.com. The control board is located under the freezer and comes out if you remove 1 self-tapping screw. There was no way to tell if the board was dead, but once we got the new one, we connected all the connectors, plugged in the fridge and viola! it worked again. Read more

I bought a shelf but was unable to insert it. The shelf should have been added when the refrig was assembled. Thanks to APP, I was able to find exactly what I needed from their web site, and ordered a new drawer. It was the "middle drawer" - one of the two for vegetables. I recently had to replace the "deli-drawer" for the same reason (too much weight in a very flimsy design), and got some help with APP to straighten up a goof that I made in my order. After receiving my new shelf I unscrewed the old meat drawer track from the unit. Using the same screws and track i was able to seamlessly attach both to the new shelf. My meat drawer fit perfectly and I was able to install the new shelf unit into my refrigerator within minutes. Read more
