The Lint Screen Housing Seal is an OEM part for GE dryers. This seal is designed to fit around the housing of the lint screen, ensuring a tight seal that prevents lint and small particles from bypassing the filter and entering the dryer's internal components. This seal measures approximately 36” long.
Symptoms of a failing lint screen housing seal include:
- Increased accumulation of lint inside the dryer cabinet
- Decreased drying efficiency, requiring longer cycles to dry clothes
- Visible wear or gaps in the seal
Causes of wear or failure of the lint screen housing seal often include regular use, which can stretch or tear the material, exposure to high temperatures which can degrade the rubber or foam, and improper installation which can lead to a poor fit.
This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.
