Took the washer out, turned it over and found the solenoid that worked the drain valve to be melted, and the shaft that the solenoid activates was heavily corroded. I found the right parts on your website after reading the notes left by other customers, then watched the video. The repairs were fairly simple and successful. This was a GE profile dishwasher. This fix went great, no problems, about 15 min of work. Just a heads up: the distribution of the wires on the back of the replacement unit was pretty different from the original part (and the part photo on this website). But the wire tabs were labelled on it, so it only took a few minutes to get the wires lined up right. Works like new now! Read more

Checked both door gaskets and tried to heat them back into shape but it did not work so I ordered the gasket replacements. they arrived two days later one was right the freezer door came in the wrong color but I used it anyways. It had a small tear in it which I repaired using super glue. Laid both gaskets out in the garage as they were warped pretty good. When we inspected the first time we found that Plactic had broken from the spiral part that for wards the ice. Also there were cracks in two places of other parts. There was a hole in the bottom of the bin. The new spiral was assembled and two new parts were replaced with help from the video and the diagram and the unit worked well. The defrost heater element looked good and had continuity. The defrost thermostats checked good, so that just left the Defrost Module as the likely suspect. I installed a new defrost control module and thermostats. The thermostats were inexpensive and the old ones could have been intermittent, The only "tricky" part was finding out how to get to the back screw that holds the main control panel.
