Ordered a ge thermostat part . Took everything out of freezer , unscrewed panel and took the plate out. Used a hair dryer to defrost ice. Took out old part and installed new part. Everything is working just fine!!! Used a meter to test old/bad part and indeed it was dead. Read more

I bought this relay switch and it works great. On the left side of the compressor there is a plastic cover you pry off with a screw driver. The relay switch had one wire plug on it. Just pull the wire off and the pull the relay switch off the compressor. Read more

Filter replacement is easy. CAUTION. When removing the wand that is immediately above this filter you must reach around the back base and feel for a tab sticking out. Pull on it and lift the wand up. If not you may break the tab off which is a retainer needed for the center wand that supplies water to the upper rack. We weren't sure what the problem was initially; if it was the knobs or something else. Turns out the knobs were not the original; they were replacement knobs. The knobs we purchased work perfectly! Shipped very quickly! Read more

First swapped other working burner and the problem moved. This verified that the problem was with the burner element and not something else. I order the part from ApplianceParts. The new burner connector looked different than the old one but the new one fit fine. The time to fix was less than five minutes and required no tools. Read more

Replaced the top bearing assembly, drive belt, and blower wheel. The most time consuming and difficult part was putting the new drive belt back on the pulley and tensioner. Be sure to know how it is routed through them. It is a very tight fit getting your arm in there and connecting it blindly. Read more
