Oven won't heat or takes forever to ignite? This igniter creates the spark to light your gas oven. DIY-friendly repair, typically 30-40 minutes.
My Kenmore 790.74139310 gas range was taking over 30 minutes to reach 350F. It used to take a little less than 10 minutes. The problem was the ignitor for the lower gas burner. It would glow but not pass sufficient current to increase the gas flow to the lower burner. Once at temperature, there is of course loss of heat when loading the oven with room temperature food. This took too long to recover, so we did not have proper temperature for proper cooking for the first 30 to 40 minutes. Food... Read more
Dishwasher lower door seal prevents water leaks at the door base. Replace if you notice dripping or moisture during wash cycles. Confirm fit with your model.
Thanks to Jason and his tech people at Appliance Parts Pro, I was able to remove and replace the seal and eliminate all leaks at the bottom of the door. I have a Kitchenaide (Whirlpool) dishwasher model KUDC10IXBL1. Here is how to replace the bottom door seal. 1) Shut off breaker to dishwasher on the electrical panel. 2) Open the dishwasher door completely, and while supporting the door, remove the hex head screws that hold the outside cover. 2) Close the door carefully and slip the outside... Replacement door gasket that seals the refrigerator door to maintain proper temperatures. Replace when torn, cracked, or leaking air. Confirm fit with your model.
I bought new gaskets, which were expensive! At least the repair was easy. Pulled out the old ones, pressed in the new ones. Had to redo them because I didn't notice the little flaps that need to be covering the space in the middle, between the doors. So, pulled them off, and turned them around, and pressed them on again. Maybe 10 minutes? Read more
Replaces broken, cracked, or melted dishwasher spray arm. Rotates to distribute water during wash cycles. Snaps onto base assembly for quick installation.
I took the bottom access cover off, and checked underneath the unit to isolate where it was leaking from. Cleaned the cover, and the spot where the leak happened was marked for me. The front, far left hand side, behind the door. Ran a quick rinse cycle with a pan under the spot to verify it was there. It was. Then I did an internet search and found your website. Our dishwasher, bought in November of 2016, was listed, and several of the reviewers said wonderful things about their experiences... Read more
Seals the bottom of your dishwasher door to prevent water leaks during wash cycles. Replace if worn, cracked, or loose. Confirm fit with your model.
A quick google search lead me to the problem - the plastic door gasket had become loose and broken. Received the part very quickly and installed it that night after a little trial and error. What the videos don't tell you is that to properly 'seat' the gasket you need to angle it UP when you push it into the little gap. If you angle it up, it will catch and seat properly, if you just push it in normally, it won't catch on the right part and it'll just hang loose at the bottom of the door and... Read more
Oven won't heat or bakes unevenly? The bake element likely failed. Located at oven bottom, this part restores proper baking heat. 10-minute DIY fix.
The first thing I did was call appliance pros. The tec told me it was a good chance it was the thermostat. He told how to test it with my ohm meter and what range it should be in. I pulled it out and tested it, which was out of the limits he told me it should be in. So I ordered the part. When it arrived in two days, I installed it. The oven now works perfect. Thank you so much. I was just about to go spend $800 on a new oven, and instead fixed it for $75. Awesome website. It was... Read more

So I ordered the part which was and oven igniter, that also turned out to be the exact replacement for my old igniter. The part came in the mail in a about 3 days and I was able to install it myself in about 20 minutes give or take, with simple hand tools, then I did a quick test and everything worked fine. Door balance link kit for dishwashers. Connects door springs to control door movement. Replace if rope is frayed, broken, or plastic clips are cracked or worn.
I finally decided to repair my dishwasher because the door would free fall to the floor possibly breaking the hinges. Also the top shelf was rolling out on its own every time the door was opened. I first pulled the dishwasher out of the enclosure and found that the drain hose was directly under the pump area throwing the unit completely out of level. Also the inadequate plastic and rope counterbalance on the left side was completely broken where the rope was attached to the plastic piece to the... Read more
Dishwasher not draining or has standing water at end of cycle? This drain pump removes wastewater efficiently. Easy DIY repair, no tools needed.
I've opened sump housing to check for clogging but it was clean. When I removed check valve to inspect it I've found out that the round part of the valve was missing so I figured it might've blocked the water exit at drain hose or something like that. So I pulled the dishwasher out to get a full access to drain hose connector and the pump. Upon disconnecting the drain and checking its connector I indeed found the round piece totally blocking the hose and acting as a seal. I removed the piece... Read more
Replaces flickering or non-functional LED light board in your refrigerator. Install when lights strobe, dim, or fail. Verify fit with your model number.
It was a classic horror story, but with a happy ending! I called a classic, "regular" repair company that I obtained on-line. My Whirlpool was 2 months out of warranty, so the repairman charged a trip-fee of $95 that would be subtracted from the cost of my repair. "Lee" showed up an hour late, even though he was told that I had to leave for work by 10:30 (-He assured me that he would have me fixed by then). The refrigerator was rolled out of its spot, and Lee began to remove the back cover... Read more
Fix a refrigerator that's not cooling or has temperature control issues. This control board manages defrost and cooling cycles. DIY install in 30 minutes.
A bit of research on the internet indicated the most likely problem was with the defrost system. I found the service manual for the refrigerator and was able to determine that the defrost heater and thermostat passed the self test. The refrigerator would perform a forced defrost which resulted in a cold refrigerator. More research revealed that this particular refrigerator does not have a defrost timer, instead the defrost cycle is controlled via the Electronic Control board which is also... Read more
