It was a simple process to enter the model number of our glass cook top stove; learn the part number required and order. It arrived in 2-days -- least expensive shipping method. The cooktop was removed with a Phillips-head screwdriver by 4 small sheet metal screws on the right and left side of the oven. The oven's power to the cooktop was easily disconnected via two "clips" and one ground. Would have cost way more with an appliance repair shop and it's an easy do-it-yourself repair. Read more

The instructions that came with the replacement smaller surface heating element provided no help about how to open the top of the range, so I checked the internet. Only the lower element was burned out, but I opted to replace both. Ordered from AppliancePartsPros and received them very quickly! Turned off breaker to oven, took pictures of existing broil, supporting bracket and shield attached to oven, removed screws holding element, support piece and shield, removed bracket and shield, pulled out the element, took another close-up picture of the wires connected to element, removed wires, connected new element, turned breaker on to see if connection is correct, turned it off, installed element, shield and support bracket (in this order). Little procrastination paid off. With only 50% capability I knew it is time to call the appliancepartspros. They shipped me parts within 3 days. It was practical to fix both at the time. All I needed was to disconnect power at range breaker box, grab a screwdriver to lift top open, a 16 inch or so piece of old 2×4 wood to keep the top top of stove lifted, so I could access heating elements from underneath. I purchased the replacement element. The element was a direct replacement. The entire replacement took 20 minutes, 15 minutes of which was to clean the range before putting it back. Read more

I ordered a replacement burner from AppliancePartsPros.com and replaced it using a u-tube video to find out how to do it. I took pictures of the wiring before I took it apart and then removed the burner element from the glass tom, but I left all the wires attached. I screwed the new element to the glass top and then one by one I unhooked each wire from the broken element and then hooked them each back onto the corresponding place on the new element. Number one was turn the power to the dishwasher off. I disconnected the hoses under the sink. The dishwasher had to be pulled out from the cabinet. The old heating element easily came out and the new one put in its place. The instructional video made the repair very easy. Read more
