Went to YouTube for pictorial on the repair. Found it to be an easy replacement. Made a wiring chart, followed the reverse order of wiring. Installed part checked that part floated on its spring mounts and did not touch anything. In an attempt to clean the range from the grease-gunk build-up, I had to remove the burner heads. Unfortunately, the 2 most used burner heads had immovable screws that locked them into the orifices underneath. 1) I installed 4 ea new Whirlpool 700855K switches. (The old switches had INF-240P-871 stamped on them. 700855K was the cross-referenced P/N.) The installation was easy. Many of the replacement parts for my 23-year old Jenn Aire cook top are showing as "unavailable" on most parts supplier web sites, but I finally found the proper replacement knobs here. They fit perfectly and now the cook-top works as it should and looks practically new again. I replaced the old control panel with a new one. I also changed out the door seal to help prevent the control panel from going bad a second time. It was the heat from the oven getting to the keypad on the control panel that caused it to go bad. Read more

Checked the internet for a video on how to fix the igniter. I took the burner apart and replaced the igniter. It works perfectly! Read more

• Little to no heat when broiling

I went on line and found several appliance web sites promising to be able to get the parts to fix it. One website actually showed a video of how to fix it. It was a good video which showed everything involved and then easily showed me the parts list of the elements involved and how to fix it. I went further and actually ordered the element at about 1 or 2 AM. Read more

I replaced the downdraft fan and fan motor of my 25 year old JennAire C301 cooktop. The issue was getting the fan/motor assembly out in such a tight place. I had to first remove the fan cover, cut the wires, then the assembly came out. Putting back wasn't as tough although getting the cover back on (over the motor) was a bit of a strain. Wired it back, turned it on, and was thrilled. Now I'll replace the knobs and burners and we're back in business. Read more

I ordered a replacement burner from AppliancePartsPros.com and replaced it using a u-tube video to find out how to do it. I took pictures of the wiring before I took it apart and then removed the burner element from the glass tom, but I left all the wires attached. I screwed the new element to the glass top and then one by one I unhooked each wire from the broken element and then hooked them each back onto the corresponding place on the new element.
