Dryer drum felt seal creates a protective barrier between the drum and cabinet. Replace when worn or heat-damaged to prevent noise and inefficiency.
Seals the dryer drum edge to prevent clothes from catching and retain heat for efficient drying. Replace if worn, torn, or causing marks on clothes.
I tried to hire someone through Home Advisor and was given an initial estimate of 436.00!?! However, no one ever contacted me about repairing the dryer. The washer and dryer are about 12 or 13 years old, so me and the wife discussed going to look at the alternative.... Buying a new washer and dryer set. We had planned on going on Dec 10th. I then decided to do some research on YouTube on Dec 8th for dryer repair and came across a video that was made by AppliancePartsPros.com. The video covered... Read more
Replace your dryer's drum felt seal to stop air leaks, reduce noise, and prevent clothing stains. Fits between drum and bulkhead. Confirm fit with model.
After replacing thermal fuse once and having it fail a second time, I had to dig a little deeper to uncover the problem. I checked for blockage in the vent but everything was clear. I did, however, find that the drum had some up and down play in it. After closer inspection, I could see that the front drum seal was actually worn to the point that I could see a gap between the seal and the drum. I figured that the gap in the seal was letting air in and not letting sufficient air flow through the... Read more
Seals the dryer outlet housing to prevent air leaks and maintain venting efficiency. Replace if lint accumulates in cabin or moisture escapes. Verify fit.
First I watched videos about squeaking Kenmore dryers. Then I used that information to open the dryer, diagnosing the fact that the roller on the drum belt tension arm had broken and actually fallen off the arm. The dryer was filled with lint and dust/dirt, so I also saw that the seals on the dryer had deteriorated greatly. AppliancePartsPros website is outstanding, far better than its competitors. This made it easy to find the parts and videos that I needed. It took hours to pull everything... Read more

1) I spent a half-day researching online for possible causes for squeaks. Discovered the AppliancePartsPros YouTube videos, which were the best I found for clarity and ease of understanding. 2) I went from the videos to the website to locate each model-specific part that might have been causing the noise. Once I identified the parts for my model of dryer, I called customer service to confirm that I had the right ones before placing my order. I spoke with Sharon, who was very helpful and... Read more
The Door Seal is an OEM part for LG dryers. It forms a tight seal around the dryer door, preventing heat and moisture from escaping during the drying cycle, which ensures efficient drying and energy use.
Causes of a bad door seal can include wear and tear from regular use, damage from repeated opening and closing of the dryer door, or degradation from exposure to heat and moisture over time. A compromised door seal can lead to longer drying times and increased energy consumption.
Symptoms of a bad door seal include:
This OEM LG part is also compatible with Sears/Kenmore.

The Dryer Seal is an OEM replacment part for Frigidaire dryers. It is located at the doorway opening where the drum rotates and helps prevent lint, moisture, and heat from escaping. The seal is a crucial component that ensures efficient drying and heat retention within the dryer drum.
Causes of a bad seal can include wear and tear over time from continuous use or damage due to mishandling. The nylon seal experiences a lot of friction and heat stress with each drying cycle.
Symptoms of a bad seal include:
This OEM Frigidaire replacement part is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Kenmore models.
Get some acetone at a Hardware Store before you start. A pint will do. Unplug the dryer from 110 VAC. Pull the top off of the dryer, by lifting it from the front first. It is attached with snap metal fittings. Do not completely remove the top, just tip upright to gain access to the front interior of the dryer. Before you pull any wires from the door switch, record which color wires go to which terminals on the door switch. If you reassemble the connections incorrectly, the gas value will... Read more
Front drum felt seal prevents clothes from catching between the drum and dryer interior. Replace if worn or damaged. Confirm fit with your model number.
Took the whole dryer apart to access the wheels (4) of them, belt and fan wheel, also had to clean all the lint out that somehow builds up inside the dryer. Plus cleaned out dryer duct vent, added to the time involved. If you are planning on fixing the dryer because of a noise which was in my case, I highly recommend buy all the parts for complete maintenance mentioned above. What helped save me time? I watch a dryer fan wheel replacement training video first, highly recommend this!... Read more
Upper felt seal creates a tight barrier between drum and cabinet to prevent clothes from catching in gaps. Replace if fabric snags or grinding noises occur.
My 12 year old Frigidaire stack on top dryer had been beeping distress messages in some unintelligible code for about a year when it completely stopped producing heat. It also had a long standing issue with delicate fabrics and thin straps or drawstrings getting caught in the drum. After using this site to troubleshoot and viewing the useful how-to videos, I ordered and replaced the heating element, thermal limiter, and felt seals. Based on others' stories, I decided to also replace the rear... Read more
Replaces worn dryer front bearing and seal that cause squealing or scraping noise. Essential for smooth drum rotation. Confirm fit with your model.
After having replaced the drum support rollers twice in a roughly 3yr period, I realized something wasn't quite right, and indeed it wasn't. I had been ordering the wrong parts - I did use the online parts locator after checking, & double checking my model number. Apparently my older Whirlpool dryer has a somewhat ambiguous model number because the rollers that were shipped each time looked nothing like the originals. I realize that is not particularily uncommon - manufacturers often modify... Read more
This is a felt seal strip that attaches to the front bulkhead panel of the dryer where the drum meets the front of the cabinet. It creates a soft barrier that prevents heated air from escaping and keeps clothing from getting caught between the drum and the panel. Replace this seal if your dryer is taking too long to dry clothes, you feel hot air leaking from the front, or you hear squeaking or scraping sounds as the drum turns.

I took it apart and cleaned and lubricated the rear support rollers and the belt pulley roller. I think the squealing was coming from the pulley roller. I then replaced the rear felt as it was badly deteriorated. The dryer now runs much more smoothly and quietly. Read more
