After unplugging the dryer from the wall socket, I used a screwdriver ( Phillips ) to remove the light cover fixture. This gave me access to the bulb which had burned out. I first use my fingers to remove the bulb but the base came lose from the glass bulb. I then used a needle nose pliers to remove the metal base of the bulb from the light fixture. The hot inlet valve was dripping water, replaced it. Water and soap were coming out of the vent pipe. The new Float assembly had a shorter shaft than the old Float Assembly I was replacing. We scoured the web and there are few references to this so I want to add it in case it helps. Replacing hinges solved the popping opening issue. We could not solve our dishwasher door issue after a number of other tries: Latch, Catch, Ropes that attach to the springs that pull the door closed. I tend to believe the solve could be different b/c all these things work together. But for us, we were skeptical that the hinge swap would work and we were very pleasantly surprised. Read more
