The Water Tube is an OEM part for Whirlpool refrigerators. This component is part of the water supply system that delivers water to the ice maker and water dispenser, ensuring efficient operation and consistent water flow. The tube measures approximately 5 Feet, 4 inches.
Causes of a bad water tube can include wear and tear over time, mineral buildup or clogging, and damage from accidental kinks or bends. These issues can disrupt water flow and lead to leaks or insufficient water supply to the ice maker and dispenser.
Symptoms of a bad water tube include:
- Leaks around the refrigerator
- Reduced or no water flow to the ice maker or water dispenser
- Ice maker not producing ice
- Water dispenser not functioning properly
This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

You will need this part - note that it might look different from what you have because they redesigned the part to not have a sharp curve at the bottom part where it plugs into the valve.
You will also need a 5/8" stainless steel hose clamp (that will go down to 1/4") to clamp the top part of the hose that feeds into the icemaker (this replaces the factory clamp that is effectively throw-away).
