Jim W Redmond , WA June 26, 2015 Leaking water tube to ice maker Removed the old tube. You will need this part - note that it might look different from what you have because they redesigned the part to not have a sharp curve at the bottom part where it plugs into the valve. You will also need a 5/8" stainless steel hose clamp (that will go down to 1/4") to clamp the top part of the hose that feeds into the icemaker (this replaces the factory clamp that is effectively throw-away). Clayton C Tonawanda , NY June 06, 2017 My freezer water line cracked at the bottom where it connects to the compression fitting I removed the old line (which to me is the inferior design, as it has this weird turn in it - I have had to replace it twice) and installed the new line which does not have the sudden turn in it. Worked like a charm - the only thing I has to do was go out and buy a clamp for the upper connection, as mine was not reusable. I am hopeful this one will last longer than a year, as it is a better design in m opinion. Timothy B Bellflower , CA October 29, 2018 Appliance: Model WSR325FDOM01 Refrigerator was leaking water when the ice maker cycled I replaced the dual valve like everywhere on the internet told me. When I removed it I saw the gray tube that ran up the back of the freezer side was too short to go into valve without being crooked and over stretched. I ordered it and it came and I saw it was made different than the original. The revision is a better design and solved my leakage problem. Whirlpool should have a recall on the tube. It caused massive damage to my kitchen because it leaked so little and only when it made ice. We never saw any water. The flooring began to separate from water under it. Gene B South Riding , VA December 17, 2015 Water line from the water valve to the ice maker cracked and was leaking water into the floor Ordered a new hose from appliance parts pros. The hose was not exactly like the original one. So I had to bend it slowly to make the hose fix into the water valve without any sideways pressure put on the connection points. The water valve connection was pointing toward the floor so I had the bend the new hose into a complete U shape. Because the hose is not any too long the U had to be made using only 5 or 6 inches of the hose. Once the U was made I scraped the two sides of the U together to hold the shape. You must be careful not to kink the hose when bending. Read More... 2 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 1-2 hours Tools: Screwdrivers
