This is the main drive motor that powers the agitation and spin cycles in a washing machine. It connects to the transmission and drum assembly to rotate the wash basket during operation. This is the cooling fan motor that draws air across the oven cavity and control panel area to prevent overheating of surrounding cabinetry and electronic components. Simple fix. Power off, remove 14 screws, lift top (use wood blocks to hold), unplug white and black wires from fan motor, twist motor assembly counter clockwise and lift to remove. Take new fan motor and do steps in the reverse. Worked like a champ. When there was no ice in the bin, the auger turned, but with any ice, the auger simply stalled and could not push the ice around. Did not know where the problem was, but thought if I replaced the entire lower assembly (ordered a new motor, shaft, spring and coupler for the bottom part), that should do it.
